With its transparent crystal waters and impeccable powdery sand, tourists will be allured with Camotes Island’s scenic and panoramic views. It’s one of the undiscovered jewels in Visayas. Having read that this paradise was hailed as the last horizon and the poet's lost heaven (that is, together with Bantayan Island of course), the place made me very curious that it became one of my dream travel destination. After almost a year of saving and serious thought, I pursued one of my life's dreams with the love of my life. Hah! Cheesy. I guess what's interesting was the fact that it's very quiet, and there were only few people there. The sand gradually from the beachline stretched farther into the sea that you can still have waist level water at 20 meters off! Really a beautiful white sand beach in Camotes!

It was a view worth appreciating for. Much to our advantage, there were fewer tourists and fewer establishments. That’s the upside. The slight downside was that there are fewer activities to engage in. I was hoping for more exhilarating water activities to occupy us for hours. But who am I to grumble when the beach bursts with beauty and beckons me to take the plunge? I think what’s refreshing about it was that we don’t usually get to see the blue sky, the sea and the sun all together! We were all trap in a concrete jungle around the city, used to seeing the buildings and the litters all over it. The view was truly a breath of fresh air. This surely is a place I’d love to go back to! Let me just state the obvious, Camotes Island was so worth it!
