Everyone looks forward to going on a trip somewhere nice. Whether it involves being in a new town, city, or country, it’s really exciting and fun especially with the right company.
After several tries on planning and numerous attempts on getting everyone involved from start to end, we finally manifested and achieved our first ever out of town trip! And so it's decided that we need to have a vacation somewhere outside the metropolis, with white sand beach, crispy blue waters, tall trees in a secluded place hundred miles away from the city – Morong, Bataan!
It was a challenge for us to have everyone present since our respective workloads and deadlines were very evident. But since most of us were persistent in making this possible, we happen to course away the planning part to the actual outing!
We have traveled for more or less 5 hours going to Morong. We rented a private van since we all thought that it will be exhausting if we insist to pursue public transportation. The most entertaining part of the trip -- jamming! Dan has brought his guitar and everyone has belted out singing songs from the 90's in chorus! I hope our driver was not annoyed back then. Hahaha! After arriving on the resort, we immediately looked for a restaurant to eat since all of us were literally starving! Good thing the place dished up big servings of food. The restaurant has a sufficient menu and the prices were not that steep. After which, we hurried our feet towards the beach. Since it was a rear treat for everyone to be in the same outdoor place at the same time, we managed to squeezed in island hopping and snorkeling. The following day, most of the activities were spent in island hopping too. We bargained for a boat to take us to a virgin island just thirty minutes away from the resort. The island was quite bare. You can only see big rocks, trees, and sea shells.
Though it was a quick getaway, we got the chance to bond with each other while doing all the leisure activities! Since we are with each other in the work place almost each and everyday, this kind of roundabout openly secluded us for a moment from the hectic demands of work. The personal stuffs that we we discovered amongst each other all contribute to what team buildings aim to create: camaraderie. Aside from the strong bond, this outing created fond memories together that we can look back when the going gets tough at work. Off to our next travel, Team FinAM!
